ECARRY, THE INNOVATIVE ELECTRIC COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MADE IN ITALY TO CONQUER INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

ROME – Thanks to the possibility of driving either on the right or on the left, the all-electric and 100 percent made in Italy commercial vehicle, Ecarry, is also conquering foreign markets, and after Europe it has landed even in faraway Australia. Ecarry sports compact dimensions, being just under 180 centimeters wide, measuring 570 cm in length, 195 cm in height, and is an ideal vehicle for urban mobility and historic city centers. This versatile electric vehicle, developed by We Do design, based on David Obendorfer’s concept style, can be outfitted to suit different usage needs, and has N1 approval for speeds up to 80 kilometers per hour. Ecarry, designed and manufactured entirely in Friuli Venezia Giulia, is derived from an in-depth multi-year study conducted by Green-G Electric Vehicles, which analyzed the routes taken by this type of vehicle in Italian metropolises and cities, thus determining energy patterns in different operational tasks.

In addition, an element of which Green-G Electric Vehicles is particularly proud, is that all of Ecarry’s software is written entirely in-house, allowing it to be configured on an ad hoc basis according to specific user needs. The driving position is designed for maximum comfort and best operation with the forward cab placed only 38 centimeters above the ground, a position adopted to minimize the risk of injury in the constant getting on and off the vehicle.

Ecarry’s structure has been developed to accommodate a skip of more than 5 cubic meters, the total ground mass is 35 quintals, and the payload capacity of the chassis truck is more than 1,700 kg, while the modularity of the battery pack, 35-70 kWh, allows optimal adaptation to different routes. In short, Ecarry, according to the company, is able to meet the needs of those who carry out door-to-door recycling collection services, city logistics, and last-mile deliveries. (Maurilio Rigo)
